Lorelei, after surviving a near death experience gets caught up in a battle between Jared, the guy she thinks saved her, and Cameron, the guy beating Jared up for being something that surely nobody can be. Christian Grey rated it really liked it Shelves: Most likely, said boy sacrifices something to be with this girl and probably pisses off a lot of people by doing so.

She was obviously in some sort of shock and worrying about the boy’s injuries, but I still felt like the information was being dragged out needlessly.

And Jared wasn’t really better. Narrator is a plain looking girl or so she thinks who is attracted to a guy who is so beautiful it should be illegal. What I hadn’t expected, however, was the faint laughter from Jared. I am used to Darynda’s multi layered plot that tie off neatly at the end.

Talking about well developed and perfectly placed secondary characters. For pages and pages I got to slog through lines like these: Cameron was pretty much a background antagonist for a good bit of the narrative and it didn’t get much clearer as the book went on.

Throw in the best friend who’s beautiful and the best guy friend who is either in love doof the Narrator or most likely in love with the Narrator’s best friend I could have been okay with this plot point if it was the writer showing how unhealthy this is, but it didn’t seem like that to me.

The only payment received came in the form of hugs and kisses from my little boys. I didn’t figure it out until a while later, when it was voiced what had happened. I will be definitely reading more from her!
